Injury Screening

What is Injury Screening?

Injury screening involves a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s movement abilities across all ages to identify risk factors that predispose them to injury. Using evidence-based systems like the Functional Movement screen, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and motion analysis via video recordings, the physical therapist is able to objectively measure an individual’s risk for injury. The therapist will then work with the patient to design a specific plan of care that will address these risk factors in order to minimize risk of injury.
