Heather received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific in 2013 after graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis. She began her career in a private outpatient orthopedic clinic treating a variety of conditions from
balance/gait disorders to post surgical diagnoses to the corporate wellness population. After practicing for several years, she pursued her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification (OCS) to further grow her practice and combine her clinical knowledge with the most recent evidence based practice. She transitioned into a hospital based orthopedic setting at Stanford Healthcare where she enjoyed treating a variety of simple to complex post surgical diagnoses and non operative orthopedic conditions. Heather believes in implementing a variety of treatment techniques and evidence based care to individualize treatment to the patient-including movement analysis, neuromuscular re-education/motor control, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercise. She strongly believes in developing mutual therapy goals so that her and her patients are actively participating in care and so that long term her patients can continue to progress forward. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors hiking or mountain biking with her husband. She enjoys traveling and baking yummy treats for the office.
