Benjamin Kong earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of the Pacific shortly after earning his BS Kinesiology degree from SF State. Using his combined physical therapy experiences from UCSF, San Joaquin General Hospital, and several private outpatient clinics, he enjoys adapting and customizing therapy treatments to match each patient’s individual needs.
Regardless of their age or activity level, he likes inspiring patients to be proactive in climbing their personal ladder of physical fitness and educating patients to understand their bodies better. Some of his favorite sayings are “It’s important to work with the patient and not on them. Rehabilitation is a partnership not a project.” And “Helping patients is like peeling an onion. There are usually multiple layers to their problem and we’ll keep peeling ’til nothing is left.”
A SF bay area native, Ben has a passion for experiencing: new foods, the freedom of cycling, the serenity of hiking, the excitement of paintball and the challenges of competition style kickboxing.
