Ritu Chhabriya
Meet Ritu
Ritu received her Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Sancheti Institute of Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Pune, India) in 2006. She subsequently worked in a multi-speciality hospital in India where she treated patients with cardiovascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions (Mumbai, India). In 2009 she completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions (Boston, MA) where she was awarded the Institutional Merit Scholarship Award and the Majorie K. Ionta Award for Clinical Excellence in Post-Professional Physical Therapy. Ritu continued her educational track and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2011.
While in school, Ritu conducted research on physical therapy in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis which was published in the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Physical Therapy Journal (Physical Therapy Use for Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, January 2011) and delivered a poster presentation at APTA Combined Sections Meeting and the California Physical Therapy Association Conferences on her research.
Ritu completed her American Board Certification of Orthopaedic Specialty (OCS) in 2016 and enjoys working with patients with orthopaedic conditions improving the way they move using evidence based practice.
Ritu is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner and is SFMA certified. Ritu has complete a certificate course in Vestibular Rehabilitation by Emory University (2018). She loves seeing patients with chronic pain, orthopaedic condition, dizziness and balance disorders.
Outside of work, Ritu enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also loves to dance and workout. Ritu is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and Sindhi.
