California state law allows patients to have direct access to physical therapists. What this means is that you can now receive physical therapy (for up to 12 visits or 45 days) without a physician’s referral/prescription.
Why direct access?
Don't wait for your primary care doctor to write you a referral to Physical or Occupational Therapy. Save time and refer yourself if you think you have a condition that may benefit from Physical or Occupational Therapy.
Direct access saves you out-of-pocket costs by skipping your primary care or specialist visit to get a referral!
Direct access patients experience a faster recovery by getting straight to the injury experts. Get started with your treatment plan by scheduling with a licensed Physical Therapist today!
