Meet Chasey
Chasey is a strength and conditioning/athletic performance coach from the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology. During his time at Cal, he was a practice player for the women’s basketball team. After Cal, he went to San Jose State University for graduate school. He received a Master’s of Arts in Exercise Physiology from SJSU, and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Chasey has experience working with athletes from a variety of sports at the youth, high school, club, collegiate, and professional level. Most notably, he returned to Cal and worked with their strength and conditioning department for two years. During his time there, he assisted in the training of their Olympic-based sport teams. These teams include basketball, volleyball, swimming/diving, cross-country, track and field, and water polo.
In addition, Chasey has worked in an outpatient/orthopedic clinic for three years. At the clinic, he worked with a team of physical therapists to help many active individuals return-to-sport/work/hobbies following an assortment of orthopedics procedures/injuries. These procedures include the following, but are not limited to ACL reconstruction, total knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and achilles ruptures.
Chasey loves being a strength coach and the opportunities it provides to impact people’s lives. He believes it takes a team effort to improve someone’s health, wellness, and performance.
Outside of coaching, Chasey enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and staying active.
