William Phung
Meet William
Will is a Bay Area native who grew up in San Francisco and then moved to San Jose, CA during
high school. He completed his B.S in Kinesiology at San Francisco State University in 2019, and
obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in 2023. Will is
completing his Orthopedic Residency at Agile Physical Therapy.
Will always wanted to be in the health field to help others. In 2016, his mom suffered a stroke,
and after seeing her go through the rehabilitation process, he solidified his decision in pursuing
physical therapy. Will recognizes that every person has a unique experience and he is
passionate in delivering an individualized plan of care. He strives to provide patient education so
that his patients can understand the process and feel empowered to be in control of their health.
He believes it is important for people to have health literacy to ensure they meet their goals.
Aside from physical therapy, Will’s favorite pastime is cooking for his friends and family; this was
a way for him to bond with his mom after her stroke. Will also likes to travel, workout, and is a
massive foodie!
