Katrina Lee
Meet Katrina
Katrina Lee is a South Bay native who grew up dancing ballet and modern. In 2009, she received two degrees from UCSB: B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Dance (winner of 2009 choreography award). In 2014 she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Columbia University. She first worked as a PT for the Broadway community for 3 years: Stomp National Tour twice, then on-site at Stomp NYC, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, Lion King on Broadway, and Sleep no More, and in clinic, caring for other performing artists, musicians, and backstage staff.
She then went back to her ballet roots and worked extensively with New York City Ballet and School of American Ballet for two years; on-site, she provided neuromuscular re-education and manual treatment to prevent injury during performances and rehearsals. In clinic, she rehabilitated and guided dancers to excel under the demands of daily classes, rehearsals, and double-show performances by creating individual programs for return to daily activities, dance class, Pointe, jumps, partnering, and work hardening, etc. She also cared for dancers of all ages and levels to address injury or pain/difficulty with dance activity and to prevent future injury.
She became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 2018 and is currently pursuing certification in orthopaedic manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. She is excited to bring her knowledge and skill set back to her hometown community to help patients pursue their passion and ensure they maintain a full and healthy lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, ballet, Yoga, Pilates, TRX, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends, family and her cat Leia.
