Meet Ciara
Ciara Duggan is a Bay Area native and Doctor of Physical Therapy who is passionate about helping patients move better, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at Stanford Health Care, where she advanced her expertise in evidence-based orthopedic rehabilitation.
Ciara specializes in treating a wide range of orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports and overuse injuries, prenatal and postpartum concerns, post-operative pelvic floor recovery, hypermobility disorders, and general musculoskeletal pain. She enjoys working with patients of all activity levels, from individuals beginning their health and fitness journey to athletes striving to return to peak performance.
Drawing from her background as a competitive and professional Irish dancer, Ciara understands the physical demands of performance-based activities and the importance of individualized care. She also earned her Teagascóir Choimisiúin le Rince Gaelacha certification, allowing her to teach Irish dance.
Ciara believes in creating personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique goals, lifestyle, and movement patterns. Her approach combines hands-on care, exercise-based rehabilitation, patient education, and long-term strategies to help patients achieve lasting results both inside and outside the clinic.
When she’s not treating patients, Ciara enjoys strength training, hiking, backpacking, learning how to run, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Jackie.
