Janell Uyehara

Janell is a senior clinician with over 25 years of experience specializing in foot, ankle, and knee rehabilitation. Her expertise in lower quarter biomechanics and movement analysis allows her to identify the root causes of injury and develop highly individualized treatment plans that restore function and prevent recurrence. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and began her career at Stanford Medical Center’s Outpatient Clinic.

Since joining Agile Physical Therapy in Palo Alto in 2004, Janell has continued to deepen her specialization in foot and ankle care. She completed a yearlong Australian manual therapy program and has pursued extensive continuing education in lower extremity biomechanics, manual therapy, and movement science.

Janell’s approach is shaped not only by decades of clinical expertise but also by personal experience. Having recovered from two ACL tears and an Achilles tendon rupture, she brings genuine empathy and insight to her patients’ journeys. She understands both the physical and emotional challenges of recovery and is committed to helping each patient regain confidence, mobility, and a return to the activities they love.
