Meet Kathleen
Katie Stone is a Bay Area native and sports physical therapist specializing in baseball injury rehabilitation. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She has worked as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer in the professional, collegiate, and high school settings.
Before joining Agile Physical Therapy, Katie spent four seasons working in professional baseball with the Chicago White Sox, where she provided advanced shoulder, elbow, and throwing-arm rehabilitation for athletes from Rookie ball through the Major League level. Katie has built a strong foundation in both clinical practice and athletic performance.
Katie’s clinical interests include baseball and overhead athlete rehab, post-surgical shoulder and elbow recovery, and return-to-throw programs. She is passionate about guiding athletes from initial injury through full return to competition—helping them move better, perform stronger, and stay healthy throughout the season.
Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she worked as an Athletic Trainer at her alma mater, Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, where she worked closely with student-athletes and coaches to prevent and manage sports injuries.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, lifting weights, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
