Meet Tara
Tara received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University before going on to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine where she graduated with honors. She has always had an interest in movement and the human body as a whole. Throughout school, she also deepened her passion for wellness, nutrition and health. She believes that physical therapy can be the catalyst to improve a person’s life through movement, science, and optimism.
Tara values lifelong learning and professional development. In 2018, Tara received her Pilates Teaching Certification from the esteemed BASI Pilates program and enjoys integrating Pilates philosophy into her treatments. She is currently in training to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists through Bellin College. Tara will sit for board certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2024.
Tara has experience working with a variety of patient populations including those with orthopedic issues and vestibular deficits. She emphasizes a holistic treatment approach with integration of mind-body balance. With a strong manual therapy background, she favors integrating movement and exercise science with hands-on techniques to help improve the lives of her patients.
Tara was born and raised in Orange County. Like a true California native, she enjoys spending time in the sun, traveling, getting together with her family, and cooking.
