Meet Tyler
Tyler was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from CSU Long Beach in 2015 with a B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science and then graduated from Hampton University, Virginia in 2019 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
His interest for Physical Therapy was sparked when he went through some ankle sprains in high school playing volleyball and attended a couple sessions with a friend's dad who was a PT who looked like he loved what he did.
He has been working in outpatient orthopedics over the last 5 years and enjoys treating a variety of conditions of all ages, activity levels, and goals. He has experience as an Assistant Clinic Director where he managed the aide team, created a pain science and high velocity low amplitude thrust technique mentorship program for new grads, handled a variety of admin tasks, and was a certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA.
He is certified with the Institute of Clinical Excellence earning the title “ICE Certified: Master Clinician” in 2024. An ICE Certified therapist has the skill set to perform a unique, tailored, comprehensive examination for any patient that walks through the doors of the clinic. They have mastered both the spine and the extremities including evaluative skills, manual therapy treatment, and exercise prescription. In addition, ICE Certified therapists are experts at introducing, modifying, scaling, coaching, cueing, and correcting movement for each & every human being regardless of age, impairment, or athletic ability. He also loves to rehab volleyball players because he still loves playing it.
In his spare time Tyler enjoys playing sand volleyball, golf snowboarding, hiking, working out, going to music shows and breweries, playing with his Aussie, and camping/traveling with his fiance.
