Francesca Dalangin
Meet Francesca
Francesca is a Long Beach native who pursued her undergraduate studies in the Philippines. She received her BS in Physical Therapy from their national university—the University of the Philippines-Manila. After moving back to California, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Francesca is a certified Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS), Active Release Technique (ART) practitioner, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) provider.
Francesca’s experience has revolved around general outpatient orthopedics, sports rehab, chronic pain management, and performance training. Although she individualizes each treatment session based on patient collaboration, her overall treatment style integrates manual therapy, therapeutic exercise following strength and conditioning principles, neuromuscular re-education, and pain science education. She promotes a holistic treatment approach by highlighting the importance of psychosocial factors, nutrition, and recovery to the rehabilitation process. Francesca aims to empower her patients by ensuring that the care they receive is not only skilled, but also tailored to their specific goals.
Having suffered from multiple orthopedic injuries herself, Francesca advocates for using movement and exercise to keep the mind and body healthy—she enjoys weightlifting, indoor cycling, yoga, hiking and bouldering. During her free time, you can catch her hunting for new coffee shops/restaurants/breweries or traveling. Francesca is also an avid concertgoer and beach lounger.
