Julie Tran
Meet Julie
Julie earned her Bachelors in Science at California State University, Sacramento in 2007 and graduated from Ohlone College in 2015 to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She has had experience working in the physical therapy field since 2007 working as an aide and has volunteered in numerous settings such as inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, pediatrics, and sports orthopedics.
Julie found her passion in physical therapy after she fractured her ankle in high school during basketball practice. She had such a great experience during her rehabilitation process that it sparked the desire to pursue this field. She has always had a natural ability to connect with others and enjoys helping people, so becoming a PTA has been a very rewarding experience for her.
Julie believes that communication is key. Actively listening to a patient’s needs and trying to connect with them to establish trust can result in more positive outcomes. It helps to motivate patients through their rehab process.
When she is not treating patients, Julie has her hands full with her 3 year old daughter, 1 year old son, and 2 dogs. She enjoys family trips to the park, playing basketball and tennis, and traveling.
