Leada Malek
Meet Leada
Leada worked at Exos San Diego where she helped treat tactical and MLB/MiLB athletes along with football players in preparation for the NFL Combine/Pro Day. She later joined Stanford Children’s Hospital where she helped develop the sports medicine protocol for Bone Stress Injuries. She is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Samuel Merritt University and has been recognized by the American Physical Therapy Academy for her advocacy of the physical therapy profession.
Leada believes in treating the whole person and not just the injury and collaborating with the patient to create the individualized plan they need to help reach their goals. She is an advocate for the athlete triad and mental health as it relates to injury recovery. Leada believes everyone deserves the same level of detailed and individualized care, no matter their activity or skill level.
When she’s not working, Leada enjoys exploring new restaurants, listening to live music, and spending time with friends and family. She enjoys volleyball, skiing, and has run two half-marathons and a Spartan Super and hopes to do more races in the future.
In addition to English, Leada speaks Spanish and Farsi.
