Meet Matthew
Matt completed his B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ohio University. Between these two degrees, he spent 6 years in the US Army, serving as a Cannon Crewmember and jiu-jitsu based Army Combatives Trainer.
Immediately after achieving his doctorate, Matt moved to Honolulu, Hawai'i and began working with a high-level orthopedic population, to include collegiate and professional athletes, nationally competitive strongmen, actors, and stunt persons. He has spent 3 years in Saint Louis, Missouri working predominantly with patients with low back and neck pain, as well as improving post-op outcomes in knee and hip surgeries using Blood Flow Restriction Training.
Matt is certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training, Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment Parts A, B,and C, and is currently studying for his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification. He also does treadmill running evaluations and is a recreational runner.
In his spare time, Matt likes to run, swim, cycle, practice yoga and acrobatic yoga, take backpacking trips with his fiance, and play with his 3 year old Australian Shepherd.
