Amy Babcock

Meet Amy
Amy Babcock graduated from St. Ambrose University with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy (MPT), after receiving her Master of Science (MS) degree in Exercise Physiology from Iowa State University.
She has advanced training and extensive experience in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, including two year-long Australian manual therapy courses (level 1 and advanced). She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Ola Grimsby Institute, and is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedics. She has worked in the Bay Area since 2001 and was a Clinic Director for 13 years in Mountain View. Special interests include spine, headaches, and TMJ/TMD.
Amy is a registered yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga since 2008. She offers yoga therapy as adjunct to physical therapy and teaches local workshops with a focus on anatomy and therapeutics. Amy competed at the national level as a category 1 road cyclist and triathlete and ran track/cross country in college. She enjoys treating athletes with similar interests and is trained in cycling biomechanics and fit. She is committed to helping her patients by combining biomechanics, movement analysis, manual therapy, and yoga training for a unique eclectic approach.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys riding her bike, practicing yoga, spending time with her two children, Austin and Sydney, and her 2 dogs, heading to the beach, and watching Chicago Cubs baseball.
